Synopsis
This film presents my personal interpretation of the history of
concert dance through the manipulation of cut-outs where the famous
dancers of the 19th century sometime collide with their modern
day counterparts. The way the figures move in the piece is reflective
of the particular choreography and design of the time (e.g. Nijinsky
falls apart and can not quite get himself together again, Martha
Graham is continually spinning and giving birth to Merce Cunningham
who moves in a very angular fashion) All backgrounds and artwork
are reflective of the time period in which the characters are
moving.
